31_days challenge: “When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things.” (Doc's POV)
When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. Somehow, as I stored away the toys and games, balls and blocks, flights of fancy all – a thing was lost beside, though I did not realize. Like cobwebs, those props of childhood trapped the best of what I could have been, leaving me stark and dry. I had not missed my heart before. Then your hand opened, sharing you entire. So I offer you my loyalty, all that I have left.
